Bambini Village was founded in 1988 and our journey began in a small, rented space with just a handful of students. From the very beginning, the focus was on providing individualized learning experiences, fostering independence, and cultivating a love for discovery. The dedicated team of educators at Bambini Village worked tirelessly to create a warm, inclusive, and dynamic learning community.
As word of the school’s exceptional approach to education spread, the demand for enrollment grew. In 2000, Bambini Village Montessori moved to a larger, purpose-built campus designed to meet the needs of a growing student body. The new facility includes spacious classrooms, a well-equipped library, a certified natural outdoor habitat where our children learn to garden and explore nature.
Today, Bambini Village Montessori continues to thrive, serving a diverse community of families who value the school’s commitment to individualized learning, respect for the child, and the development of the whole person. With a rich history rooted in Montessori philosophy, Bambini Village remains dedicated to nurturing the mind, body, and spirit of each child, preparing them for a lifetime of learning and personal fulfillment.
Our staff is a team of dedicated, passionate, and highly trained professionals committed to nurturing the growth and development of each child. With extensive backgrounds in early childhood education and specialized Montessori training, our teachers create a warm, supportive, and stimulating environment where children can thrive. They observe and guide each child, providing individualized lessons that cater to their unique interests and developmental stages. Our staff believes in fostering independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning, ensuring that every child feels valued, respected, and empowered. Through continuous professional development and a deep commitment to the Montessori philosophy, our educators strive to provide the highest quality education and care for all our students.

Kelly Kimbrough (soon to be Kelly Pope) was born in Chattanooga and raised in Murfreesboro, TN. Educational background includes: Bachelor of Science in Integrated Studies-Early Childhood Education and Family Studies, MiddleTennessee State University; Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education, Motlow State; Certification in Early Childhood Education by the Department of Education, Motlow State; AMS Certification 3-6 Montessori Training Center of Brentwood. She was introduced to Montessori by a family friend 15 years ago, and from that moment, she never looked back. She fell in love with Montessori’s “follow the child” philosophy which allows for all children to receive an individualized education and meets each child’s different learning styles. Montessori is an extension of the home and not only creates a strong educational foundation but also builds good character and strong life skills. This timeless educational model is rooted in Child Development that prepares the whole child for the demands of tomorrow. She believes that each child has a unique gift, and her goal is to observe and help them grow into independent, responsible, and compassionate human beings. When she is not in the classroom or the pool, she enjoys being around her family, hanging out with friends, or being outdoors with her two huskies. Her favorite pastime was swimming competitively and cheering in high school at Riverdale. Therefore, she started running a Montessori-based swim program three years ago, called MontiSwim, during the summers to combine her passion of swimming and Montessori together. The program offers beginner and intermediate swim lessons and private coaching for competitive swimmers. She is excited to guide the next generation of young minds at Bambini Village!
